Timeless charm
Ideally located, Le Pré aux Clercs offers several spaces where you can enjoy both the friendly atmosphere of a brasserie and the calm, intimate setting of our spacious mezzanine or private lounges.
A modern and refined ambiance, enhanced by stone walls, wood paneling, and exposed beams. Large windows provide an unbeatable view of Dijon’s most beautiful square, right across from the Palais des Ducs de Bourgogne.
On this charming pedestrian square with a stunning view, our terrace welcomes you throughout the day in fine weather — perfect for enjoying a sunny coffee or savoring one of our delicious homemade ice creams.

A delicious duo - timeless and contemporary cuisine
The Pré aux Clercs menu, co-signed by the famous three-Michelin-starred chef Georges Blanc, pays tribute to his exquisite recipes, whose secrets and savoir-faire he has passed on to our team: Bresse chicken in cream sauce, œufs en meurette, braised beef cheek…
In short, a duo of chefs united across generations. A menu that perfectly combines the signature touch and expertise of two virtuosos of French gastronomy.

An institution since 1866: a blend of history and fine dining
A landmark of gastronomy for the people of Dijon and visiting epicureans alike, Le Pré aux Clercs moved once before settling in 1866 on the famous and prestigious Place d’Armes, renamed Place de la Libération in 1944 — now considered the most beautiful square in Dijon. For nearly two centuries, the restaurant has brought life to the square, standing proudly before the majestic Palais des Ducs de Bourgogne.
Enjoy a magnificent view of these historic monuments, beautifully illuminated at night. Here, you can delight in a setting rich in history, a refined art of living, and exceptional cuisine.
Dijon, capital of Burgundy
This “City of Art and History”, with its entirely pedestrian city center, is a must-see for lovers of Burgundy. Narrow streets, sumptuous façades, and half-timbered houses — Dijon never ceases to amaze.
Since 2022, the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin, located in the heart of the city, offers countless discoveries to food and wine enthusiasts.
A few kilometers from Dijon lie the vineyards of the Côte de Nuits, known as the “Climats of Burgundy”, which are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The journey continues along the Route des Grands Crus, winding through the vineyards, picturesque wine villages, and must-see landmarks such as the Cîteaux Abbey and the Clos de Vougeot. An important stop is Beaune, the neighboring town made famous by its Hospices.
All this is enough to convince you that Dijon is a gourmet city, rich in treasures and perfectly located.
